Mökki oli erittäin siisti ja hyvin varusteltu. Iso laituri ja hyvä uimapaikka. Suosittelen lämpimästi.

I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights and we wished we could have stayed twice as long. I am used to travelling in Finland but there is something special about Orivesi.

The location of the mökki (cottage) high above the lake means it has a wonderful view down and across the water.

Mikko and Eija have everything you need in the cabin – fast communication and a kind welcome. There’s also a beautiful outdoor deck that looks over the lake.

Stock up on food, drive to the cabin (we had a 4×4, this was useful on the gravelly track) and enjoy the peace of Orivesi. Swim in the lake, row the boat, use the sauna and cook by fire by night.

Also: very few mosquitos!

It’s the perfect place to be alone and away from the business of normal life.

Mikko действительно, очень хороший хозяин. Домик не большой. На четыре человека максимум. Домик стоит на полуострове, на другой стороне озера еще два коттеджа. Полного уединения нет. Сам домик стоит на холме, продувается ветрами. На территории – камни и корни. Ходить нужно осторожно, особенно в темное время суток. Все что заявлено есть, и даже больше. Нам была предоставлена питьевая вода. В доме тепло. По озеру плавают ЛЕБЕДИ!!! Очень здорово! Mikko моментально отвечает на все вопросы. Спасибо за теплый прием.

It was my second time at this cottage and I loved it as much as the year before. Beautifully situated next to a lake, this is definitely a place where you can come to yourself and experience total silence in nature. There are a couple of other cottages next to the lake, but you will barely notice other people, other than an occasional rowing boat. The cottage itself has all the amenities one needs: a coffee maker, an electric kettle, an oven, a microwave, a shower (with water from the lake), a sauna and even wifi. For hiking, I would recommend Isojärvi National Park (a 45 minute drive). Mikko is a kind host that quickly responds to messages. All in all, a special place that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for silence in the Finnish nature.

What a wonderful place to spend a family vacation! We especially appreciated the eco toilet, the easy access to the water for our little one (2 years old), the tons of blueberries waiting to be picked and Mikko and his wife always being available to us and supplying us with fresh drinking water every few days (much needed with up to 30 degrees…). We had a great time and definitely would recommend this beautiful place to everyone who is looking for some peace and quiet in beautiful Finnish nature.

This place is a gemstone! Hidden in the forrest, lies this traditional cottage where you will find everything that you need to spend a quiet, relaxed time. The lake is like from a tale, small islands and beautifull landscape. Private landing with boat, plenty of fish, and absolute silence…the hosts were also super respobsive and offering help and support if needed. But actually everything was perfect…definitely worth going if you like to stay in nature and leave the world behind.

We stayed at Mikko’s house for two nights with my wife and our little daughter while travelling across Finland. The house is located in an awesome silent area on a little hill by the lake, comfortably furnished as described. Parking right next to the house. Communication with Mikko was quick and easy. We would definitely like to come again. During our stay at the end of July there was surprisingly only few (nearly no) mosquitos.

This is a wonderful place for a quiet and relaxing stay in the forest. The views are amazing and the lake is clean and refreshing to swim in. The cabin is a lovely space and has everything you need to cook for yourself. Mikko is a fantastic host and quick with his replies. We definitely hope to return again soon!

This is the most calm and beautiful place in the world. If you are looking for an escape from the busy routines and city life, this place is for you. The cottage is really cute with a good sauna. Outside there is a terrace with amazing view to the lake and a fire place next to it to make some food on. The lake is really really calm and just big enough that it is nice to row around with the boat! We were looking for a place where we can truly calm down and recharge, well we found exactly that!

The nature is rough and beautiful, but it is good to note that if you have issues walking, you might have trouble walking down the hill. But for people with normal walking ability, it’s all good!

Mikko’s house is a very traditional and simple house in a beautiful and very quiet nature. You can barbecue, take a rowboat or visit one of the many other lakes in the area. Of course there’s also a sauna 🙂 .We had a very nice week there.

Mökki upealla paikalla; mahtavat maisemat, kirkasvetinen järvi, luonnonrauhaa.. Yhteydenpito isäntäväen kanssa nopeaa ja mutkatonta.

Perfect place to experience authentic finnish cottage&sauna. Simplistic setting in a nice way, without distractions like a TV, but still with running water and electricity. Great view and the location is also good.

Siisti mökki perusmukavaaksilla todella rauhallisella ja kauniilla paikalla. Yllätyimme positiivisesti. Yhteydenpito majoittajaan sujui mutkattomasti.

Ihana paikka, hienot näköalat, rauhallista ja leppoisaa. Tilaa riitti, varustelu oli hyvä ja talossa puhdasta. Kaikki toimi, ei mitään ongelmia. Suosittelen lämpimästi rantasaunaa ja järveen pulahtelua. Toistekin poiketaan.

Kauniilla paikalla oleva mökki, joka vastaa hyvin ilmoituksesta syntyvää ennakkokäsitystä. Nautimme erityisesti kokkailuista rantakallion tulipaikalla. Mökillä saa olla omassa rauhassansa, sillä kohde on päättyvän tien päässä. Näköetäisyydellä on kuitenkin muitakin mökkejä.
