We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It is so quiet and peaceful and you are surrounded by beautiful trees, birds, lake and scenery. We were a little apprehensive before coming as we were worried that it might be quite dark and there might be bears! Thankfully Finland is pretty light in the summer and the only wildlife you’ll likely encounter are woodpeckers and dragonflies! (It is very safe). Also the drive to the cabin is mega easy. The roads into the woods are decent and you are only driving on them for about 10 minutes. Make sure to stock up on food and mosquito spray before you visit. The cabin is really well stocked. It almost has everything that we have in our apartment! (stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker etc etc) The sauna and boat are fantastic amenities. Really simple to use. A very zen holiday indeed!

It was a great couple of days at the cottage. Having a big lake almost entirely for yourself and a rowing boat to „conquer“ it is amazing.
The cottage is equipped with everything you need for barbecue, cooking or even making something in the oven. It is also cosy and spacious enough for a couple of rainy days at Niemijärvi.

A very special place! The cottage is in a very silent location. The own pier offers easy access to the lake. Inside the cottage there is everything one needs and it is very cozy. Very recommendable!

Mökki täytti ehdottomasti odotukseni ja saimme viettää kumppanini kanssa rauhallisen viikonlopun kauniissa maisemissa ja hyvissä löylyissä. Majoittaja oli ystävällinen ja viestintä hänen kanssaan oli sujuvaa.

What a great place Mikko and Eija have created here. The house is very spacious, the garden is huge and well maintained, there is even a rowing boat for 4 persons. Had a wonderful time and will surely remember this place for the next time. In addition there was not a speck of dust to be found, impeccably clean.

Mökki ylitti kaikki odotukset, oli todella hieno paikka. Viestintä Mikon kanssa sujui todella vaivatta. Ehdottomasti suosittelen.

This was a beautiful place to stay—clean, well equipped, and with a stunning view. We we traveling as a couple with a toddler and found the accommodations to be child friendly. The sauna is also wonderful. Check-in was easy — key in the door — but all written instructions were only in Finnish. We had a very nice stay.

Ainutlaatuinen luonto ja yksinkertainen, luonnollinen mökki mukavuuksineen. Kaikki sujui moitteettomasti. Ihan harvinainen aitous ja koruttomuus hyvässä mielessä – ei mitään turhaa – kaikki tärkeä. Tällaista haluan.

Todo muy finlandés y bucólico. Una casita en el lago. Con su sauna, su lago y su sitio para hacer barbacoa. Acordaros de que es un baño seco. El sitio estupendo. No te molesta (ni molestas) a nadie. Nosotros estuvimos muy agusto.

Tämä on aivan loistava paikka kesäiselle rauhoittumiselle upeissa maalaismaisemissa! Isäntäväki on vieraanvaraista ja tilat ovat hyvässä kunnossa. Iso suositus!

Kaikki odotukset ylitettiin heittämällä; miljöö maailman kaunein, kommunikointi ensiluokkaista ja asiakaslähtöistä, mökki siisti ja kaunis. Sääkin sattui olemaan aurinkoinen!! Our stay was simply sublime.
It is hard to say what we liked the most, was it the Finnish calming wilderness which surrounded the cottage, or was it the quality of the cottage(a perfect amalgam of modern and old-school), or was it the saunas (the electric one inside the cottage and the traditional one outside).
The layout of the cottage and the area around it(that is, lakeside sauna, the terrace, the BBQ grill, the garden in front of the cottage, the boat) was very good and everything was in place to make sure we had a good time.
Mikko is a wonderful and generous host.
We only have one regret: couldn’t spend more quality time there 😉

Oli kyllä mukava ja rauhallinen paikka olla ja varustus mökissä oli loistava, kaikki tarvittava löytyi, varmasti tullaan uudestaan kun jäi vielä rantasaunan löylyt kokematta mitä täällä on paljon kehuttu.
