A log cabin, your own private island and true closeness to nature - are you ready for this experience? The beautiful and quiet island is the perfect place to spend an ecological holiday in the middle of nature. There are no other cottages on the private island. The lights and fridge work on solar panels and the sauna near the beach is heated by wood. The cottage has no electricity or heating, but the wood stove brings warmth and a fireplace atmosphere. The rent includes firewood. Bed linen, towels and final cleaning can be ordered separately.

Pielppa log cabin
Log cabin Pielppa rises steeply on its own small island. You can also bring pets to this cottage - the place is a real dog paradise! Rowing boats allow you to fish or row. In summer, you can also pick mushrooms and berries from the island or the mainland.

COTTAGE GENERAL EQUIPMENT
The sturdy 40 m2 log cabin has a living room / kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms and a loft. There is no shower, but the dust of the day is cleared in the awesome beach sauna. The rent includes firewood and 2 rowing boats.
BEDROOMS
The cottage has 2 bedrooms. One has a 140 cm wide double and the other has a 160 cm wide double bed.
The loft can accommodate 1-2 people.
If you need linen and towels, you can rent them separately for 15 e / person / stay.
KITCHEN AND GRILLING
The cottage has a modest kitchen with wood burning stove and dishes for six. You can also prepare food on the gas stove in the summer kitchen. The water comes from the lake, which is suitable for washing dishes. Drinking water can be obtained from a well on the mainland near the parking lot. Please note that the solar panel refrigerator is small and only holds a small amount of food and drink at a time. Therefore, it is good to have dry food and camp food.
SAUNA, SHOWER AND toilet
There is an ecological, composting outdoor toilet in the cottage yard. The wood-heated log sauna on the beach gives a nice soft steam. There is no shower in the sauna or cottage. The water in the sauna is heated in a separate pot. Washing takes place in the sauna. Sand has been added to the bottom of the lake in front of the beach sauna, so it is nice to take a dip to swim.
YARD AND BEACH
We have wanted to keep the place as natural as possible. The lake is naturally dark watered and great for both swimming and fishing. Rowing boats take you to the peaceful Niemijärvi. We can provide you with boating vests if you wish - please let us know what size you need.
FISHING
If you want to fish and you are 18-64, you must pay the state fisheries management fee. Example prices: 6e / 1 day, 15e / 7 day. The most convenient way to make a payment is through the Eräluvat online store. You can also rent a quiet electric outboard motor from us for 15eur a day.
PETS
Pets are welcome at this cottage! Please inform about pets when booking. Be sure to clean the animals' hairs from the cottage and furniture before you leave, and clean the yard from the garbage. Make sure that pets do not cause injury. You will be responsible for damages in both the cottage and the cottage environment.
LINEN AND TOWELS
Bed linen and towels if needed 10 e / person / stay.
Final cleaning on request 90 e.
FINAL CLEANING
You can pre-order final cleaning in advance or during your stay. The final cleaning costs 60 €. If you do the cleaning yourself, the cottage has the necessary cleaning tools and supplies. Clean up on the day of departure!
If you order a final cleaning, you still should do this:
• Wash the dishes and put them in place
• Take the garbage to a waste disposal site
• Collect bottles and cans in bags
• move furniture to original places
• leave linen in a stack on the bed
• Take away the groceries you bring with you
• If you have pets, clean the hair and clean the litter
If you do the final cleaning yourself, do the following in addition to the above:
• shake / pull the carpets outside
• wipe the floor with a damp mop
• wipe the tables and tops with a damp cloth
• ventilate bedding outdoors
• wash the toilet and sauna
• Take the garbage to a waste disposal site
LOCATION
The drive from Tampere to the cottage is less than an hour and from Jyväskylä 1.5 hours. To get to the cottage, you need a car. There is a parking space for 2 cars by the lake and the island is about 400 meters from the beach. There are 2 rowing boats on the beach, with which you can row to the island in 5-10 minutes.
Other things to note
While you are having your holiday here you will probably need certain equipment: Rain equipment like rubber boots, rain coat and trousers. Food which does not need to be stored in cooler, the refrigerator is working with solar power, it's capacity is very limited for mainly dairy products. It is recommended to have some experience about using rowing boat (not very difficult though) There is ecological outdoor toilet in a separate building. Rent includes whole island, boats, firewood and all taxes. There is no electricity, indoor toilet or shower. Bed linen, towels or final cleaning are not included to the price, but those are possible to order separately for extra fee. Mobile phones are having limited usability, usually phones work OK outdoor. For phone charging there is a 12V car adapter, you will need a car charger with you.
