Salkolahti has ten properties in Orivesi and the Lake Längelmävesi region. Each has a private or shared lakeshore and sauna, but amenities vary considerably. Prices start at €58 per night, and the largest properties accommodate eight guests. Tampere is about 70 kilometres away, less than an hour by car.

Which property suits whom
For a large group. Villa Kiiltäväinen and Villa Längelmä each accommodate eight guests in three bedrooms. The villas are about 200 metres apart, so a group of up to 16 can book both. Compare villas.
With a dog. Seven of the ten properties allow pets. Tikkamäki, Vehmaanpirtti and Villa Kiiltäväinen do not allow pets.
For remote work. Villa Kiiltäväinen and Villa Längelmä have gigabit fibre suitable for video meetings. Five cottages have Wi-Fi at approximately 10 Mbit/s. A reliable connection cannot be guaranteed at Pielppa.
For those who value comfort. Tuura, Tikkamäki and Huvikumpu have an indoor toilet and shower. Minttu and Pielppa have an outdoor toilet and a freezing Icelett indoor toilet.
For a short break. Vehmaanpirtti and Tivoli are the most affordable, from €58 per night. See cottages for weekday stays.
For complete privacy. Pielppa is on a private island with no neighbours. It runs on solar power and has no fixed internet connection.
